Any person regularly engaged or employed as a securities trader
for a period of at least one year in the Southern California and Arizona
areas shall be eligible for membership.  OR, if you are not a trader, are you employed by a firm, government or non-profit organization that is engaged in securities, investment, or banking business or the regulation of those businesses.  AND, are you employed in a capacity that directly supports or assists the trading of securities, such as compliance on a trading desk or employment by an exchange.

A trader shall be defined as one who regularly makes commitments
and decisions while executing orders in securities on behalf of his/her
firm, other dealers, brokers, and/or institutions.  They include, but are
not limited to, traders of equities, bonds, commodities, and derivatives.

An Associate Member shall be any person who is engaged or employed as a securities trader but who does not make commitments and decisions while executing orders in securities on behalf of his/her firm, other dealers, brokers and/or institutions. Such persons shall pay dues and be governed by all rules and regulations of the Association, and shall enjoy all of its privileges except  the right to vote, sponsor new members or hold office.

1. Applicant must be retiring or retired active STALA member.

2. Applicant must qualify under one of the following:

             20 years as a dues paying member of STALA
                                                       -or-
             15 years as a dues paying member with 3
                 years as an officer
                                                       -or-
             10 years as a dues paying member having served
                 as president of STALA

NOTE:  Dues will be waived for all lifetime members.  Additionally, all lifetime members will be invited to STALA events.   However, lifetime members will be responsible for their own costs at these events.
